Connecting Knowledge and Industry

SMART Innovation Centre is a sub-organisational unit of the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, established by the decision of the University Board of Directors on December 1, 2023.

The Centre was established within the Erasmus+ SMART project (101082938). The goal of the project is to strengthen the so-called third mission of higher education institutions – strengthening ties between university and industry through the development of innovative capacities in target regions.

Mission

Support the establishment of an innovative ecosystem that contributes to the development of competencies for innovation and entrepreneurship, promotes smart specialization and thereby contributes to the development of a knowledge-based economy.

Vision

To become a self-sustaining centre that actively shapes the regional innovation ecosystem through cooperation with industry, universities, the public sector and civil society.
